Meanwhile, the BLOG has more than 1.000 hits every day at the main page: www.eHealth-IT.de. Today I would like to say thank you to all readers – national and internatonal.
So I invested some time and some money this weekend to add comment functions to this website. Fortunately, I am a computer scientist and do not depend on the help of third parties.
The result is not interesting for the interested visitors, but for me as well. I don’t have to and will not answer questions about my articles and publications on several platforms any more, but primarily only on my BLOG.
This showed once again: Data protection is not for free!
In order to make it as easy as possible for the visitors of this website to become interactive, I use the authentication via existing account of the visitors on the known social media platforms:
Privacy by Broker – OneAll
The social media platforms are all known for their programmed data collection passion. That’s why I looked for a “trustee” who manages the accounts, but otherwise guarantees data protection according to DSGVO and relevant EU regulations.
After a recommendation by specialized data protection experts, I chose the service provider OneAll with headquarters in Europe. The provider’s comprehensive data protection guarantee was important to me. I have illustrated the functionality in the following scheme:
This allows a visitor with existing social media accounts to log in here for discussions and comments. If you don’t have one of these, you are welcome to use WORDPRESS.COM and only need to enter an email address.
Encryption and SPAM Blocker
Furthermore, all data traffic to this website is transmitted encrypted via HttpS and unencrypted requests are redirected to encrypted transfer. Thus, no third party knows which posts have been retrieved. For encryption I use a validated SSL/TSL certificate of the well-known certification authority Let’s Encrypt.ORG. Of course I had to buy it, because as I said “data protection is not for free”.
But for my visits I try to make it as easy as possible and installed for example the newest version of Google’s ReCaptcha for SPAM checking. It will recognize robots and sort out SPAM comments. Fortunately, the new version does not need a challenge, which are the picture puzzles or arithmetical problems on other sites.
As a result, you can log in with your beloved social media accounts with a clear conscience. After my tests the login works without problems. Therefore here mine:
Invitation to the eHealth-IT.de discussion portal
Now I’m looking forward to interesting expert comments also now. You can find more information in my privacy page.
And keep this in mind when visiting the social media platforms: Data protection is not for free!
Have fun, I am looking forward reading from you …
Many greetings
Thomas
