Hacker attack on UNI-Klinik Düsseldorf: Patient dies

25/09/2020 by Thomas Leave a Comment
Anonymous UNI Hospital Düsseldorf

Presumably Russian hackers broke into the computer system of the UNI-Klinik Düsseldorf and encrypted the data on the server of the UNI-Klinik. An extortion letter was digitally transferred.

The emergency room had to be closed. Already one patient died after delayed treatment.

The UNI-Klinik Düsseldorf did not manage – despite a warning from the manufacturer eight months ago – to check and update the CITRIX software used. Tragedy and sadness!
